Summer Solstice - Kathryn Kelly - In the Beginning

Kathryn Kelly has generously included her short story In the Beginning in the Summer Solstice anthology.

Begin Again

Savannah and Noah had been attached at the hip in college. He was the bad boy college senior. She was the studious college freshman. It had been love at first sight. Nothing could separate them.... until his family mysteriously summoned him home.
A chance encounter leads them back together twenty years later. Life, however, is much more complicated as adults. They are the same people, yet different. Putting the past behind them, they strive to forge something new together. But can they overcome what was for what might be?
This is a story about second chances and a love that only happens once in a lifetime.

About Kathryn

I write stories for those who still believe in happily ever after. Begin Again, Kindle Scout winner, is a contemporary romance about second chances.

I also write historical romances set during the American Civil War and the antebellum south of Louisiana and Mississippi. These are the stories of southern belles who find love amidst the turmoil going on around them. Out of the destruction, love blossomed and flourished leading to happily ever after. North and South. Blue and Gray. Enemies and Lovers.

In addition to writing about the present and the past, I also write time-travel romances, merging yesterday with today. I believe that we find our soul mates no matter where or... when we have to go to find them.

But above all, I write about the love that happens when two soul mates come together and live happily ever after.

I graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a doctorate in psychology. Leaving my life as a university professor, I now work with veterans in my private practice as a psychologist. But even before I was a psychologist, I was a writer. When I'm not helping others or making up people in my head, I can be found reading, shopping, running on the treadmill, and... reading some more. But my favorite time is spent at the computer weaving fairy tales of romance.
