Love Painted in Red

Tavish MacCraig, thirty-three-year-old Highlander, forsook his medical and military career, after being a POW for 6 months in Afghanistan, to run his family’s internationally renowned art gallery in London, The Blue Dot. Despite being surrounded by wealth and beauty, Tavish’s days are bleak, his nights, living nightmares, and his heart, an empty shell. But when he meets Irish painter Laetitia Galen, a powerful and sizzling attraction ignites between them.

Laetitia, who fled hell on earth when she was sixteen, now works as a well-paid housekeeper in a forsaken country manor in Warwickshire and sells her paintings in an obscure gallery. To preserve her new life and recently found peace, she resists Tavish and The Blue Dot's fantastic offer of an exclusive contract.

Laetitia becomes Tavish’s obsession; Tavish, Laetitia’s unattainable dream.

Meanwhile, a man with a burning grudge plots his long-awaited revenge, which could destroy them all over again.

A Message from Cristiane Serruya

Hey all, I’m Cristiane Serruya—but just call me Cris. I’m Brazilian and Portuguese is my mother language—don’t ask me why I write my romances in English, because I don’t know the answer.
Writing romances is not only an enjoyable way of creating a new universe, full of different possibilities—in which I command who loves who, when, where, and how their happily-ever-after happens—but also a great responsibility and honor because you, reader, will share all the emotions and motions of what I imagined.

Welcome to my universe! I hope you love my babies—ops! I mean, my books—as much as I loved writing them!

Warning - My romances are all PG-13 so I’m not responsible for ravished boy-friends. :-)

Interview with Tavish Uilleam MacCraig by Cristiane Serruya

[Cris] Hello Tavish Uilleam. It’s a pleasure to have you here. I won’t take much of your time. Who is the greatest love of your life?

[Tavish] Smiling amused - Do you really need to ask me this?

[Cris] Well, it’s not like I need to ask you questions since I know your life inside-out. But readers are curious.

[Tavish] Ah, well. It’s Laetitia, my wife. She is my aïngeal, you know.

[Cris] Smiling - Yes, I know. Now, tell me, what's your current state of mind?

[Tavish] Now that I have Laetitia in my life, peace seems very easily achievable. But before her, my good moments were always tempered by the fear of a violent rage or a panic attack due to my PTSD. It seemed to me the good things in my life were too brief, as if I was giving a taste of goodness just to swallow a full glass of bitterness.

[Cris] What’s your greatest regret?

[Tavish] Silent for a long moment - No' being able tae avoid being ambushed by the Taliban. It was a slaughter, and I lost many friends and my girlfriend because of the bastards.

[Cris] Your Highland accent is showing.

[Tavish] You know it always does when I get edgy.

[Cris] Yeah. A last question: What is your perfect idea of happiness?

[Tavish] Well, a few years ago I would say, happiness was just small and ethereal sparks of moments in life. If I could, I would photograph to contain them. But if I stopped to photograph, I wouldn't enjoy them, the flash would overexpose, and then…they’d have disappeared. Yet, since you finished my story, I can fairly say I am a perfectly happy man.

[Cris] Wow. Hand over heart. I’m happy for you. Thank you for being here with us today.

[Tavish] Thank you, Cris. I hope you write more about Laetitia and I.

[Cris] Ha! You are already in Damaged Love!
